2020 Himalayan Internship

The Himalayan Internship Program (HIP) is a one-month, life changing experience designated for college students and college-age young adults ages 18-25. It’s sole purpose is to unite students with the unreached and least-reached Tibetan Buddhists in the foothills of the Himalayas.

It is our hope that HIP will ignite a passion for frontier missions among a new generation of global leaders!

The dates for this internship program are May 12th- June 4th, 2020.

The program cost is $1,500 per student. This price includes all expenses on the field. The $1,500 price does not include international travel (approximately $1,500, a 30-day tourist visa upon arrival ($40), and MAPS insurance expenses.

Some things to look forward to as an HIP participant would be building relationships with current missionaries, learning about the ins and outs of ministry among the unreached, identifying missions strategies, discovering more about God’s call for your life, and growing in your knowledge and burden for the unreached.

If you are interested in joining the Himalayan Internship Program, and would like more information, start the conversation HERE. Additionally, if you are interested or have any questions about this opportunity, please connect with HIP through email at hipintern@gmail.com.

We are so excited to see how God uses this opportunity to help prepare the next generation for global missions! We are actively praying for each of you as you are prayerfully considering this internship.

Prayer Requests

  • For those considering joining the 2020 HIP program, that God would direct them toward what their next step should be
  • For the preparation and logistics that go into establishing this internship program
  • For the unreached and least-reached people that the interns will meet with, that their hearts would be receptive to the Gospel message that they will hear when the interns arrive
