7 Days of Prayer for Muslims: Muslim Women

We are spending this week praying for Muslims as they make preparations for and begin Ramadan, their month of fasting. Would you join us as we pray for God to bring hope to these people who are lost and dying without him?

Today we will pray for women around the world who are enslaved by the false teachings of Islam. Anyone who believes that their entrance into heaven is based on their own good works is bound and trapped by that belief, unable to see the freedom Christ offers, but this is especially true for Muslim women.

In many nations, Islam is used against women like a weapon, citing their scriptures as a means to oppress, abuse, and otherwise marginalize anyone who has the unfortunate luck of being born female. On top of that, during this season of Ramadan, women often have a lot of extra work placed on their shoulders. Though Ramadan is a time of fasting during the day, it is also often a time of excessive feasting during the night, and the preparation of all the extra food usually falls to the women.

Please pray that God would reveal himself to women throughout the Arab world, and everywhere else Islam has a foothold. Pray that God would show himself mighty to save on these women’s behalf and that they would be set free from their bondage by the power of Jesus.

Thanks for praying. We are so glad you’re a part of this community. We couldn’t do this without you.
