When Jesus was teaching his disciples, he explained to them the power of agreeing in prayer. “If two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them” (Matthew 18:19-20).
Hannah and Nathan,* missionaries in Eurasia Northwest, have seen this play out personally in their own ministry.
Four years ago, Hannah started an online weekly prayer meeting for where people in Eurasia and back home in the States prayed together for needs on the missions field. Technology allowed them to be joined together in spirit though they were physically across the world from each other.
This group has seen countless answers to prayer, both big and small. Some answers are merely sensed, in things like growing relationships, greater unity, and favor with local governments.
But other answers are concrete, tangible ways that God has intervened in the midst of circumstances in Eurasia Northwest. There was even one testimony of a woman who was raised from the dead!
This is just one of the many encouraging stories in our new book, Prayers: A Journey Through Eurasia.
We’ve compiled stories of how prayer is making a real difference in every area of Eurasia, along with helpful information about how to pray for the many people groups that call Eurasia home. We are giving away this amazing resource at General Council next week, so if you’re in Anaheim, stop by the Eurasia booth to see how you can get your own copy!
