We’ve been talking about India this month – the world’s second-most populous nation.
When you think about the need for the gospel in India, the numbers are staggering, almost too big to even comprehend. There are currently more than 1.2 billion people living in India. That’s twelve hundred million souls, ninety-nine percent of whom have never heard about Jesus.
In India alone, there are an overwhelming 2,000 unique people groups who are still unreached.
If you’re like me, and you start thinking about numbers like that, it’s easy to wonder how you, just one person, can make any sort of difference for the kingdom of God in a place like India? After all, what is one voice in the face of untold millions?
And yet, in the upside-down kingdom of God, the smallest things can and often do make a difference. After all, you and I are believers in Jesus today because he sent his twelve followers out into the world. If twelve men can change the world, you and I can make a difference in India.
And the good news is, we don’t’ have to do it alone. The Common Table, one of our partners here at Eurasia Community, is an initiative that exists to make an impact for God in India through the most powerful means: relationship. Just like Jesus gathered around the table with his disciples and the lost, so our workers and national church members in India are gathering around table with those in India who have yet to hear about the hope of Jesus.
And just like you don’t have to be physically in Eurasia to be a part of our community, you don’t have to be in India to be a part of what the Common Table is doing.
You can find out all the details about the Common Table here. Thanks in advance for the difference you’re going to make in India, and thanks, as always for being a part of our community. We couldn’t do this without you.
