For those of us who live in the United States, this is a busy time of year.
From Thanksgiving gatherings with family and friends, to Christmas festivities and New Year’s Eve celebrations, this is a joyous, full time for most people.
In India, however, the festive season has just ended.
For Hindus, October and November are times of celebration. Deshera, Diwalli, and Durga Puja are just a few of the festivals that occur this time of year. Just like with our holidays, these festivals times where families and friends gather together, and it is great time for our workers to share life and the hope in Christ.
Because it coincides with their India’s festival season, some of our workers host a Thanksgiving celebration, taking time to give thanks to God for all the good things he has done in our life. Since their Indian friends and neighbors love to celebrate, they invite them to participate. This year, over 130 people came to celebrate with our workers, who were able to share the goodness of God who provides hope and life for us every day.
Please pray with us that these ongoing relationships will lead people into the ultimate relationship with Christ. As it says in 1 John 1:3:
“We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship withus. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.”
Thanks for praying, and thanks, as always for being a part of this community. We really couldn’t do this without you.
