I don’t know what it is about the New Year, but it always feels like a great chance for a fresh start, doesn’t it?
In addition to making their typical New Year’s resolutions, many believers see January as a prime time to begin cultivating new spiritual disciplines, to engage in a new Bible reading plan or a new prayer focus.
My church, like many others across the world, is currently in a season of prayer and fasting as we consider what the Lord would have us do for His kingdom in 2018.
And that’s why this is the perfect time to begin considering how to make more room in your life to pray for Eurasia.
There are so many ways that prayer for Eurasia makes a difference – God can open hearts and destroy strongholds. He can provide for and protect our workers on the field. He can move on the hearts of other believers to give to the work in Eurasia, and raise up more workers for the vast harvest field there.
If you don’t know how to get started praying for Eurasia this year, there are tons of great resources here on the blog.
But another great resource is our prayer communities.
If there’s a particular country in the Arab World or the rest of Eurasia that God has laid on your heart, you can join a prayer community for that nation right here.
The communities are pages on Facebook, and once you follow, you’ll get notifications of prayer needs throughout the week as you’re checking your feed.
It’s a perfect way to insert more reminders to pray for Eurasia into your regular routine.
2018 could be a great year for Eurasia if we will band together and pray fervently for God to advance his kingdom among Eurasia’s many unreached people groups. Will you join a prayer community today?
I sure hope so.
And I hope you know how thankful I am that you’re a part of this community. We couldn’t do this without you.
