Spend a Semester in Eurasia!

We talk a lot around here about going to Eurasia, whether that’s for a short amount of time, or as a career.

But if you’re a college student, there’s one more really cool opportunity available to you.

You could come to Eurasia for a semester as a study-abroad program and get college credit for your time on the field.

I speak from personal experience when I say that a semester abroad can be absolutely life-changing.

When I was 20, my university offered a program where we could travel to a sister school in Volos, Greece. My school wasn’t a Christian university, so I wasn’t exposed to many of the ministry experiences you’d get coming to Eurasia, but it was a fantastic semester nonetheless.

I lived in a city by the sea, which was completely different from my landlocked Midwestern upbringing, and we traveled throughout the country during the semester. I saw mountains and beaches, tasted all kinds of new and different foods (sometimes delicious, sometimes not), and I got to experience what it was really like to live in a culture foreign to my own.

It’s been over a decade since I took that trip, but I still think about it all the time.

No matter what career field you’re planning on going into, and whether or not a life overseas is a part of that future, spending a semester in Eurasia cannot be replaced by any class you take in the States.

It could make you a better pastor, a more compassionate doctor, a more globally-minded politician, a more enthusiastic teacher, or a more creative entrepreneur. There’s no telling what sorts of impact a trip like this could have on the rest of your life.

If you’re a college student, I hope you’ll look in to the study abroad program offered through LiveDead Arab World. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, and you don’t want to miss it!

And whether you’re in college or not, we’re so glad that you’re a part of this community. We couldn’t do this without you.
