What’s Happening in the Arab World RIGHT NOW and How You Can Pray

If you’re a regular reader, you probably know that each month, we like to share some current events in the area we’re featuring, to help you better understand what’s actually facing the people who live and work in Eurasia.

This month, we’re sharing needs and stories from the Arab World, and so we reached out to some of our workers there, and they shared a couple of important things with us:

First of all, we are excited to share with you that a church-planting team is beginning work in a previously unreached area of Iraq. There may be as a many as 45 believers already in that area, but there are approximately 12 million unreached people there. We are so excited to see what God will do, but we know that our team will face all kinds of challenges as they get established in this region and cultivate relationships.

Please pray for them as they share the love of Jesus with the lost in Iraq!

Also, in another part of the Arab world, the news that’s most talked-about in Egypt right now is their president, who was sworn in for his second term last month, and their struggling economy. Please pray for the Egyptians, who have faced so much instability in their nation in the past several years. And pray also for their president, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, as he attempts to lead them during this time.

Proverbs 21:1 says, “A king’s heart is like streams of water in the LORD’s hand: He directs it wherever He chooses.

We believe that God, in his sovereignty over rulers and kingdoms, can do miraculous things for the nation of Egypt as he grants wisdom to their president.

Thanks so much for praying for these needs in the Arab World. We are so glad that you’re a part of this community. We really couldn’t do this without you.
